Taste of Gold, the LTCC Foundation’s annual fundraiser, is the ‘can’t miss’ event of the Tahoe summer! This outdoor event is a local favorite that features live music, California wineries finest varietals, an array of beers from local breweries and a sampling of tasty treats from Lake Tahoe and area restaurants. The event raises money to help students by supporting programs including the Lake Tahoe College Promise Student Success Grants and the emergency book fund.
The LTCC Foundation holds this ceremony every spring to award scholarships to continuing and transfer students. The scholarship awards are based on academic achievement, financial need or specific interests such as course of study, clubs or community impact. The donors and representatives who make the scholarships possible, join the recipients to celebrate the students’ accomplishments.

Grapeful Giving is a wine tasting event held in the Lisa Maloff University Center on the LTCC campus. LTCC instructor and certified sommelier Kasey DeFranco and her husband and LTCC President Jeff DeFranco host this intimate event limited to just 50 attendees. Through the evening Kasey gives tasting notes on the wines and attendees have an opportunity to ask questions and mingle while sampling hors d’oeuvres paired with the wines. Proceeds from the event support the Lake Tahoe College Promise Program.
